What You Mean to Me
We have been together for over two years now
Two wonderful, happy years.
We are at a time in our lives
when we start to think about what comes next
and reflect on our experiences
just to see what kind of a person we have grown to be.
Looking back now,
I see all the faces,
all the places
and I see you,
shining through
like an arrow of light.
You were always there
with your kind smile and warm heart
that had a way of healing, comforting.
You have shown me so many things
about what it really means to live,
to be alive.
Your love,
your undying passion,
and your unwavering faith
remind me everyday
of how lucky I am to have met you.
Maybe you can’t see them behind you,
but I can,
I can.
