The last three years
In the last three years, a lot has happened in my life. I left home, left everything behind to go find myself. I learned what it meant to be an outdoor educator, even learned what it meant to work hard. I ended the four year relationship I had with my high school sweetheart, and finally learned the meaning of heartbreak. I've created strong bonds with my closest friends, though I've lost a few on the way as well. I learned what it feels like to be betrayed by someone close to me. I've even fallen in and out of love with my best friend, though I've found myself being kept at a distance these days. I waved goodbye to my two good friends as they entered into military service and shipped off to boot camp. I've watched myself slide into depression and fight back out of it. But I'm still going. I've only just started getting over my losses, but I've finally come out on the other side. Looking back, I can see how much I've changed and how much I've learned about the world. I've changed my look, as well as my outlook, and have become someone completely different. I've picked up a couple regrets along the way, though I can at least say it was a learning experience. It was only three years, but in these three years my life has changed considerably. I've started writing again, and I hope to bring this blog back up to snuff. Let me welcome you to the new era, the new me. I've branched out from poetry, and I've really taken to short stories, so expect to see a healthy mix of the two on this page from now on. Anyway, enough of my rambling. I will start posting material soon. Adios!
